The GVS 2xx range of self-aligning, self-cleaning scales includes the GVS 200, GVS 202 S, GVS 204, GVS 206 S, GVS 215, and GVS 219. Designed primarily for use in synchronised press brake systems, this range comes in a wide variety of options including magnetic or optical readers in either incremental or absolute forms. Although varied depending on the exact model, certain GVS 2xx scales boast an accuracy grade up to ± 1μm.
The GVS 300 is a range of incremental optical scales with a sleek frame designed for applications with limited installation space. The range is available at a measuring length of as little as 50mm with an overall size of 204mm. Resolutions for this series are available from 100μm to 0.1μm all with an accuracy grading of ± 5μm.
The GVS 400 range of incremental optical scales offers customers rugged, heavy duty products in a compact package. This scale can be installed in a modular format in sizes over 6500mm. Resolutions for this series are available from 100μm to 0.1μm all with an accuracy grading of ± 5μm.
The GVS 600 is a glass grated incremental optical scale designed primarily for use in CNC applications. An innovative liquid filtration system within the scale, coupled with custom moulded casings allows it to operate in IP67 environments. Resolutions for this series are available from 5μm to 0.01μm with an accuracy grading of up to ± 2μm. A sine wave variant (GVS 600 V) is also available.
The GVS 608 is a glass grated absolute optical scale designed primarily for use in CNC applications. An innovative liquid filtration system within the scale, coupled with custom moulded casings allows it to operate in IP67 environments. Resolutions for this series are available up to 0.01μm with an accuracy grading of up to ± 2μm. These scales are available with SSI-BiSS C (unidirectional), Siemens DRIVE-CLiQ, or FANUC α-αi serial interfaces.
The GVS 900 is an incremental optical scale designed for large scale applications such as lathes, laser cutters, and gantry machines. The range is available with a measuring length of between 640mm and 30040mm (3m) in length, as well as in a modular configuration. Resolutions for this series are available up to 0.1μm all with an accuracy grading of ± 5μm. A sine wave variant is also available.
The GVS 908 is an absolute optical scale designed for large scale applications such as lathes, laser cutters, and gantry machines. The range is available with a measuring length of between 640mm and 30040mm (3m) in length, as well as in a modular configuration. Resolutions for this series are available up to 0.1μm all with an accuracy grading of ± 5μm. These scales are available with SSI-BiSS C (unidirectional), or FANUC α-αi serial interfaces.
Givi Misure produces a range of precise, highly durable incremental rotary encoders known as EN 30, EN 38, and EN 58. As their names suggest, the EN series comes with 3 distinct sizes: Ø 30mm, Ø 38mm, and Ø 58mm. To ensure the encoder’s longevity each is housed in robust aluminium casing and fitted with inbuilt systems protecting against inversion of power supply polarity or short circuits on output ports. Depending on the model, Givi Misure’s encoders are available with a pulse/revolution of up to 64,000ppr, high frequency variants of 300kHz, and IP67 protection.
The AEN 58 is a compact absolute rotary encoder based on the optical principle. This range of encoders comes with a durable aluminium Ø 58mm casing with a stainless steel shaft. AEN 58’s come with a suite of sensors and diagnostic feedback apparatus installed that allows the user to easily monitor the status of their encoder. This series is available with either serial interface (SSI-BiSS, with or without 1 Vpp analog signal), Fieldbus (CANopen, Profibus, DeviceNet), or Parallel. Depending on the model, Givi Misure’s encoders are available with a pulse/revolution of up to 64,000ppr, high frequency variants of 300kHz, and IP67 protection.

Givi Misure produces several models of digital readouts, from the VI 518 single axis readout with its 8 digit display, to the VI 900 multi axis readout boosting a large 5.7” colour touch screen. The powerful state-of-the-art microcontroller provides real time processing and display from the connected incremental or absolute system. Keeping the user informed about status and progress of any operations. Having at disposal a digital readout which combines such advanced features with ease of use means to considerably increase the productivity of the machine tool.
Givi Misure’s THESI positional controllers allow for single or multi axis control of complex applications, primarily in the sheet metal cutting and bending field. Each THESI controller can be run in manual, semi-automatic or automatic axis positional control mode with a selectable resolution from 1 to 200 microns. To aid in applications with flexible requirements an inbuilt memory cache has been added to allow for storage of 99 custom programs of up to 20 steps each. The system is housed in an IP40 (IP65 front plate) casing of metal construction, which combined with the optoisolated inputs, keeps the controller protected against electromagnetic interference.
