Yaskawa iCube Series Machine Controllers

The iCube (iC9226M) is the latest machine controller system from Yaskawa. Designed in conjunction with their brand new SIGMA X range of servo motor controllers. The iCube incorporates a range of new features and improvements over it’s MP predecessors whilst keeping true to it’s roots with user friendly iCube Engineer development suite. Running via the EtherCAT system the iCube retains it’s legendary flexibility with fieldbus support for OPC UA, PROFINET, Modbus, and more. 

Boasting up to 64 axis of synchronised control, powerful Triton processor, and Ethernet speeds of upto 2 Gigabit; the iCube offers unparalleled speed and control for even the most complex of applications. 

  • Yaskawa iC9226M-EC & iC9226M-FSoE –  The iCube currently comes in 2 variants, EtherCAT standard (-EC) and EtherCAT Safety (-FSoE). The sole difference is the latter includes EtherCAT’s inbuilt safety master which eliminates the need for an external safety PLC and integration of all EtherCAT devices into a single network. iCube Engineer includes a range of certified safety function blocks as standard, allowing you to keep all safety and non-safety related programming to a single program. 

Yaskawa MP3000 Series Machine Controllers

The MP3000 series of machine controllers from Yaskawa offer a compact control system with 4, 8, or 20 axis of synchronised control. The system runs on a user friendly IEC programming environment and controller-centric commissioning using the MECHATROLINK-III motion network. The versatile MP controllers are proven to improve handling and performance in a board range of applications. With large capacity memory and top of the range CPUs, even complex applications can be controlled with ease. 

  • Yaskawa MP3300 – The MP3000 series is Yaskawa’s flagship standard controller providing a faster processor, a faster motion network and a large configurable rack system upto 32 axis (256 axes when using SVB-01 or SVC-01). Rack sizes of 1, 3 and 8 slots available. Mechatrolink speed as low as 125us, Ethernet Port 100Base.
 
  • Yaskawa MP3300iec – Up to 62 Axes The MP3300iec is the latest member of the MPiec series. Offering IEC61131-3 and PLCopen programming standards, meaning programs are developed and executed with predictable operation MECHATROLINK-III motion network 1, 3 or 8 option modules 4, 8, 20, 32 or 62 motion axes Advanced camming and gearing functions. Open standards EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP to connect to many HMI and PLC in the market.

Yaskawa MP2000 Series Machine Controllers

With the introduction of the new MP3000 series of machine controller the MP2000 series have began the process of being discontinued. At present the only MP2600sie the single axis clip-on module is still readily available. There is a very limited stock of some other MP2000 series controllers still available but it is highly recommended to upgrade to the MP3000 where possible.

  • Yaskawa MP2200 – Flexible motion controller. Expandable capacity with 4 additional racks with 9 slots per rack Up to 256 axes of machine control. Powerful CPU Fast processing, motion control cycle of 0.5ms Communication Modules available include Ethernet, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP.
 
  • Yaskawa MP2600iec – Part of the MPiec Series, the MP2600iec single axis controller attaches to servo drive directly, as one unit. It is available for both Sigma-5 and Sigma-7 amplifiers. 1.5 Axes (Including encoder emulation output) for Single axis of motion control IEC61131-3 and PLCopen programming standards, meaning programs are developed and executed with predictable operation.

  • Yaskawa SGD7S-[xxxx]M0[xxxx]F50 – The Sigma-7 S is single Axis Servopack Amplifier with a built-in IEC Controller for linear and rotary motors SIL 3 for STO, PL-e CAT 3 Speed frequency response: 3.1kHz Advanced Safety functions SS1, SS2, SLS Ripple compensation, vibration, suppression, etc. 200V input power with minimum motor capacity 50W to maximum motor capacity of 2kW.
 
  • Yaskawa SGD7C – The Sigma-7 C is Dual Axis Servopack Amplifier with a built-in IEC Controller. It supports a broad range of Interface options and offers a comprehensive power range. It also offers the safety features, high performance and high accuracy the Sigma-7 Series is well known for. With an advanced set of servo tuning algorithms it offers world class vibration suppression, ripple and friction compensation, advanced autotuning and tuning-less commissioning right out of the box.
